Wijnkasteel Vandeurzen is part of a magnificent castle domain with an 18th-century farmhouse and 11 hectares of agricultural land. The domain has undergone a thorough renovation in recent years and is now a real pearl in the Hageland. The vineyard is the second largest in Flanders and the ambition is to use a range of new Belgian top wines to turn Linden into one of the most beautiful wine villages in Flanders. Wijnkasteel Vandeurzen offers 3 white wines, Albarino, Grüner Veltliner and Chardonnay, and 3 red wines, Tempranillo, Pinot Noir and Lemberger.
With The Chardonnay Pure White 2020, you can quickly identify floral aromas of spring blossom, but these are soon followed by ripe white and yellow stone fruits, melon and candied lemon. On the palate, this wine is a clearly recognisable Chardonnay with an emphasis on finesse and fruit, with impressions of juicy nectarine, peach and white apricot. Lively freshness through the generous presence of citrus zest.
The box is completed with the Red Cuvée Prestige 2021. This bold yet elegant blend showcases a deep ruby hue, unveiling enticing aromas of ripe black cherries, cassis, and subtle notes of cedarwood and vanilla. The full-bodied palate is perfectly balanced by silky, velvety tannins and a fresh, mineral-driven finish. Aged gracefully in oak barrels, this wine offers rich complexity that invites slow, savoring enjoyment. Perfectly paired with grilled red meats, aged cheeses, or simply enjoyed on its own as a refined indulgence.
